Kick off at 20:05 UK/ 21:05 CET

Arsenal sits in a group where the first place is practically reserved for them. For their opening match of the group stage, they are hosting Koln at Emirates Stadium.

After 17 years, Arsenal failed to enter the most prestigious competition. They took the step down and are now starting the Europe League campaign in the group stage where they are the favourites for finishing as the first-ranked.

They got off to a rather bad start of their domestic campaign. They lost two of the four matches in the Premier League, where they are the eleventh-ranked at the moment. In the two matches they won, they played at home. Most recently, they won with clean sheets against AFC Bournemouth.

Their team has recently been left without Oxlade-Chamberlain who was transferred to Liverpool for € 38M.

Koln are starting UEFA Europe League in the group stage.

They are coming from a 3 – 0 loss away in the Bundesliga. They started their domestic campaign pretty bad. After three weeks they have three losses, and only one goal scored. Currently, they are the bottom-ranked team in Germany.
