Antonio Conte revealed tomorrow’s night’s clash will come too soon for Alvaro Morata, Willian and David Luiz, with the trio all ruled out.

The Blues boss suggested it will be Michy Batshuayi who starts as the lone striker, despite speculation linking the Belgian with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

So in a 3-5-1-1, Hazard looks set to start in the central support role, seeing N’Golo Kante, Tiemoue Bakayoko and the fit-again Cesc Fabregas line up across midfield.

Fabregas was an unused substitute in Sunday’s FA Cup win over Newcastle United following a spell on the sidelines, while Bakayoko was also rested at the weekend and looks set to return alongside Kante in the middle of the park.

So Pedro may have to settle for a place among the substitutes. Elsewhere, Victor Moses should return at right wing-back in place of Davide Zappacosta after being rested in the FA Cup, with Marcos Alonso expected to continue on the opposite flank.

Cesar Azpilicueta was also omitted against the Magpies, so he should return in the three-man backline, meaning one of Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen or Gary Cahill will drop to the bench.

Thibaut Courtois is expected to return from an ankle injury in goal, with Willy Caballero making way.
