Before transfer deadline day – Arsenal agree double defender done deal

Arsenal have lost one of their defenders just few days to the close of the summer transfer window.

According to  Daily Mirror, Arsenal have agreed a deal with Championship side, Nottingham Forest over the exit of Carl Jenkinson this summer.

Nottingham Forest have secured the transfer of the 27-year-old move to the Championship league before Thursday deadline.

The report claims the defender was made to leave for around £5 million.

Arsenal signed Jenkinson from Charlton in 2011 and so far he has only made 8 appearances for the club but he has been of use during this preseason tour. He had two loan spells at West Ham and one at Birmingham.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have accepted a £4.7m fee from Bordeaux for Laurent Koscielny, who made up his mind to the leave the London side this summer.

Arsenal will need to sign at least one new defender before the transfer window is closed on Thursday.
