Best Man Utd XI vs Man City: TWO changes made in Strong 4-3-3 formation

After missing the wins over Bournemouth and Juventus with an unspecified injury, Romelu Lukaku has returned to training and will be assessed ahead of the Manchester derby on Sunday.

It seems unlikely that the Belgian forward will challenge for a start even if fit, given the positive nature of those away victories over the last seven days.

Jesse Lingard made his first start since returning from injury in Turin, though could make way for Juan Mata or Marcus Rashford on the right flank for the trip to the Etihad.

Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial would seem set to reprise their roles in the front three, meanwhile.

Fred was rested in midweek for the Champions League match against Juventus and may return here, though Ander Herrera performed admirably in the “midfield spoiler” role in Turin and Marouane Fellaini made a big impact off the bench so either player could force their way into Jose Mourinho’s plans.

No updates were provided on Diogo Dalot or Antonio Valencia’s fitness, so the back four could remain unchanged for the fourth league match in a row.

  1. can’t we play a better right back like Dalot in place of Young, for the flexibility of the game to also access the readiness of Dalot filling in for Valencia, since we are playing a better side full of young lads though,i’m also considering Herrera for Fred cos of experience and Lingard to sub Mata later on not Rashford pls,i think he should sit and learn more when infront of goal
