Diego Costa is being linked with a move to the Turkish Super League.
First it was Galatasaray who were reportedly keen on signing the striker but now reports claim it is Fenerbahce.
It does seem Fenerbahce actually hold a concrete interest in the striker after their club chief reportedly told the Turkish media about their interest in the striker.
Yesterday, Turkish based newspaper Milliyet claimed the striker was close to joining Fenerbahce and that a medical was imminent but it seems there is no truth in that after Aykut Kocaman conceded that his club is currently far away from signing the striker.
“We were really close to [signing] Diego Costa but now we seem far away,” Kocaman was quoted as saying by Goal.com . “The talks between the two clubs were going really well. But here we are.”
Chelsea appear desperate to let Costa go but somehow we have found it difficult to find a club willing to take the striker off our hands.
A move to Fenerbahce will most likely fail because the striker is still determined to force through a move to Atletico Madrid.
He granted several interviews in the summer that he would only leave Chelsea for Atletico, meaning it is likely that he is the one stalling on a move to Turkey.
