Chelsea have told Charlie Musonda to prove he deserves a place in the first team, after his Instagram outburst.
The striker posted a lengthy rant on Instagram a couple of days ago, expressing annoyance over lack of first team opportunities.
Although the player has denied he was referring to Chelsea, the club has taken disciplinary action on the winger.
And according to the Mirror, Musonda has been told to do his talking on the pitch.
The 21 year old Belgium international has been told to emulate the likes of Andreas Christensen, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tammy Abraham if he wants to feature regularly for the club.
Loftus-Cheek and Tammy Abraham are on loan to Crystal Palace and Swansea City respectively and are showing they deserve to be part of Chelsea’s squad.
While Christensen spent two years on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach before he returned to Chelsea this season and has won Conte’s heart with his quality and performances on the pitch.
Musonda’s only taste of first team football was at Real Betis, which was cut short by a serious injury. The Belgium international who was handed the number 14 jersey at the beginning of the season was included in the team to bolster our attacking options but he’s only featured in two games so far.
Talent wise, Musonda is one of the best Chelsea can offer and fans will be keen to see him be a key part of the team. However, that will only come when he continues to work hard on the pitch and not ranting on social media.
