Inter Milan are reportedly keeping an eye on Mesut Ozil’s situation at Arsenal.
The Mirror via the Daily Cannon are reporting contract talks between Ozil and Arsenal haven’t made any progress of sort, as the player is demanding a whooping £350,000 salary to stay.
However, Arsenal are only prepared to offer him about £275,000 a week.
With the player not prepared to reduce his demand, Arsenal are believed to be growing tired of his attitude. His poor performances during games haven’t helped matters either, as he is yet to provide a single assist this season and the report claim his performance after he came on from the bench against Watford on Saturday was the last straw.
Arsenal are now prepared to sell the midfielder in January instead of losing him for nothing at the end of the campaign.
Inter Milan are the only club with any sort of concrete interest in the 29 year old and are expected to have a free run at signing him if they step up their interest.
I think Ozil’s poor form has been blown out of proportion. It is true he didn’t do well against Watford last weekend but we must recall that he’s been out with a knee injury and only just returned to fitness. It is normal that he won’t be at his best, so why blame him after that game?
If Arsenal are going to sell Ozil in January, it is going to be because of his contract situation and not his form on the pitch.
