Chelsea are keen on completing a deal to sign AFC Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson for £35million, according to the Scottish Sun.

Wilson has scored seven goals and five assists for the Cherries this season. The former Coventry City man has now been rewarded with a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad.

The 26-year-old’s good form hasn’t gone unnoticed by Chelsea either, with seven goals in 13 games propelling him to the top of their wishlist according to the Sun.

Though that might also be something to do with the fact that he would only cost £35m, while Inter striker Mauro Icardi (£90m) and Genoa’s Krzysztof Piatek (£50m) are a bit more expensive.

Alvaro Morata has begun to find some form at Stamford Bridge but Sarri is keen to give the Spaniard and Olivier Giroud more competition.

And Wilson represents a player that is already well adapted to Premier League football and one who can make an instant impression in the squad.

The 26-year-old has fought his way back from two serious knee injuries since helping the Cherries gain promotion to the top flight for the first time in 2015.
