Cheslea have gone ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign Juventus wing back Alex Sandro according to reports on the Daily Star.
Betting sites believe that the odds for the Blues to sign Sandro are better than that of the Red Devils, with BetStars Director of Trading Ian Marmion saying: “Chelsea have leapfrogged their rivals Manchester United in the race to sign Brazilian full-back Alex Sandro from Juventus.
“The Blues are believed to be closing in on a deal for the Serie A star, who will provide competition for their in-form full-back Marcos Alonso.
“The reigning champions are the current favourites at 6/1 to swipe Sandro from Antonio Conte’s former club.
“The Red Devils, who are in the market for an established left-back, have drifted to 10/1 to become the 26-year-old’s next destination.
“Meanwhile, Liverpool and Arsenal are both long-shots to complete a move for the Brazil international, and are priced at 16/1 and 20/1 respectively.”
The two Premier League clubs have been after the Brazilian for a while with Chelsea making an approach last summer, but were turned down.
However they have started scouting an alternative in Porto’s Alex Telles while Man United are tracking Danny Rose in the case they don’t land Alex Sandro.
