Sky Sport claims Callum Hudson-Odoi could be shipped out on loan to Bayern Munich in January.
Maurizion Sarri reveals the 18-year-old is not at the right level to secure a place in the Chelsea team ahead of some established stars.
The young Englishman has been left frustrated with the lack of first-team opportunities given to him by Sarri this season and is open to leaving Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.
“He has to improve. He has to improve a lot,” Sarri said at a press conference ahead of his side’s game against PAOK in the Europa League on Thursday. “First of all, in the defensive phase, he has to work. He has to improve in the offensive phase – he’s very good one against one, but he has to learn to move without the ball.
“He is potentially a very good player, and now he has to study and improve and work. But I think that’s really very normal. He’s 18, so that’s normal.”
Sarri is also understood to be keen on letting the 18-year-old leave on loan in January, but Bayern are hoping to seal a permanent deal for the forward.
