The Daily Mail claims Manchester United are lining a (€69m/$80m) bid for Chelsea unsettled star Willian.

Mourinho is a keen admirer of Willian’s qualities, having overcome interest from Liverpool and Spurs to bring the Brazilian to Stamford Bridge in 2013.

Since the manager’s departure to Manchester United, Willian has struggled to hold down a regular place at Chelsea, starting only 20 matches in the Premier League last season.

Willian has scored 44 goals in 236 appearances for Chelsea since joining the club back in 2013 but the 29-year-old is being heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

Mourinho is seeking a reunion with the Brazil winger, 29, who he first brought to England from Shakhtar Donetsk five years ago.

The Chelsea man played in Brazil’s draw with Switzerland on Sunday evening but has been used more sparingly at Chelsea, starting just 20 times in the Premier League last season.

He currently has two years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
