Chelsea assistant manager Gianfranco Zola is favourite to replace manager Maurizio Sarri if he is to be sacked by the Blues.

Sarri has come under increased scrutiny since he saw his side humiliated 6-0 at Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

SkyBet have now got Sarri as favourite to be the next boss to leave his position in the Premier League at 5/4.

Former Chelsea fan favourite during his playing days, Zola is the favourite to take his superior’s job at Stamford Bridge at 6/1.

Zola has managerial experience in the Premier League at both West Ham United and Watford – but both spells didn’t end successfully.

Other candidates include former boss Guus Hiddink (10/1), Diego Simeone (12/1), Jose Mourinho (12/1), Nuno Espirito Santo (12/1) and Brendan Rodgers (12/1).

Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane emerged as favourites (7/1) on OddsChecker earlier today, but has since seen his odds slashed to 14/1.
