According to report via the Metro claims Chelsea are planning a £50million move for West Ham star attacker Marko Arnautovic.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is desperate to bolster his attacking options this month and have been linked witha move for Gonzalo Higuain.

But a deal appears to be complicated and according to reports in Italy, AC Milan have little interest in signing Alvaro Morata from Chelsea as a replacement for Higuain, even on loan.

The report therefore claims Chelsea are planning a £50million deal for Arnautovic should they fail to secure the services for Higuain.

Arnautovic’s desire to leave the Hammers coincides with an excellent start to the season, in which he’s scored five goals in 14 league games.

The 29-year-old fuelled talk of a January exit last week by telling an Austrian newspaper that he wanted to “compete with the very best”.

And according to his brother, who also acts as his agent, his impressive form has caught the eyes of a host of West Ham’s league rivals, most notably Chelsea and Everton.
