Arsenal will lock horns with Chelsea with report suggesting the Gunners have made an offer of £26m ($34m) for Roma winger Cengiz Under, according to Calciomercato.
However, the bid is believed to be someway off the £35m ($46m) fee Roma have valued the 21-year-old at.
Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea are also reported to be interested in signing the Turkish international.
Roma are said to be open to selling Under, but only for the right price. Calcio Mercato reckons he’s not leaving for less than $46m, and as he’s well protected with a contract until 2022, there’s no rush to sell or develop the talks for a new deal.
It is understood Chelsea are ready to bid for the 21-year-old, it is claimed, with Roma set to make a big profit on the £12m paid to land the youngster from Turkish outfit Istanbul Basaksehir in 2017.
Under, tied down to the Giallorossi until 2022, may be offered a bumper new contract before the end of the season to keep him out of Chelsea’s clutches.
