Chelsea target Jack Butland is pushing for a move from Bet365 stadium to Anfield, Liverpool in January according to Metro.

The England international goalkeeper has made 59 league appearances for Stoke since arriving in 2013, and has become a key player for the Potters. But the 24-year-old is now being linked with a transfer away from Stoke City.

It is believed that Chelsea are interested in the goalkeeper, with Antonio Conte on the hunt for a long term replacement for Courtois whose future at the club is uncertain.

However football.London reports that the shot-stopper would prefer a move to Liverpool like Virgil van Dijk did from Southampton.

Liverpool already have two goalkeepers in Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius, but they have both struggled between the sticks this season, prompting the move for Butland.

Stoke City are demanding a fee in the region of £30 million if they are to do business, so he most certainly won’t come cheap for the Reds.

Chelsea would need to start looking for a possible alternative as they continue in their attempts to convince Thibaut Courtios to extend his current deal.
