The Mirror are reporting that Everton will join a host of clubs in trying to sign Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi.

The Belgian striker was recalled from his loan spell at Valencia earlier today, as he looks for a permanent move, amidst rumored interest from Crystal Palace and Fulham.

Everton have long-running problems up front, with Cenk Tosun, Oumar Niasse and Dominic Calvert-Lewin struggling for goals.

Everton are considering a bid of up to £18 million ($23m) to sign Chelsea striker Batshuayi, Goal understands.

Batshuayi is currently on loan from the Blues to Valencia, though the Liga outfit have made it clear that season-long deal is set to be canceled as they look to remove his £90,000-per-week salary off their wage bill.

Batshuayi has struggled to make an impact for Los Che, scoring just two goals in 23 appearances across all competitions.

Chelsea, however, would be resistant to selling Batshuayi for anything less than the £33m ($42m) they paid to sign him from Marseille in the summer of 2016.
