ESPN pundit and former Chelsea star Craig Burley has urged Maurizio Sarri to play Jorginho when his side players Liverpool today.
The £57million signing has been a revelation for the Blues since joining them this summer from Napoli.
Jorginho broke the Premier League record for most passes in a game since records began with 180 in the 0-0 draw against West Ham last Sunday.
Burley believes Jorginho will be instrumental in today’s game despite been rested in Chelsea’s midweek game against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup.
The former Chelsea star is expecting Liverpool’s pressing game to be back to it’s best at Stamford Bridge.
“They (Chelsea) made a few mistakes at the back again, it will be different personnel (on Saturday),” Burley said.
“But they made some mistakes again, the one mistake that (Daniel) Sturridge almost scored.
“But, in terms of the intensity of the Liverpool pressing game and how dynamic they’ve been, that’s going to go up several notches at the weekend.
“We know what Chelsea are going to do, they’re going to bring Jorginho back in as one of the main key players in front of the back four.
“They’re going to look to pass everything through him.
“So the key for me is what Liverpool are going to do with Jorginho and with their pressing game, which is going to be ratcheted up several notches from what we’ve seen (in the Carabao Cup).”
