Chelsea will have to pay €120m to land Sarri’s dream signing

Chelsea are looking to sign Benfica starlet Joao Felix before the attacking midfielder signs a new deal with the Portuguese giants, Portuguese outlet Record claim.

The Blues will be forced to pay in the region of €120 million if they want to sign Felix from Benfica with report claiming the player has put pen to paper on a new deal with Benfica and his release clause has doubled from €60 million to €120 million as a result.

Felix has appeared in five games for Benfica this season and has impressed, scoring against Aves and Sporting Lisbon.

The teenager, who can operate in behind the striker and on the left hand side, is regarded as one of Europe’s future stars, with numerous teams in France and Spain also keeping an eye on the creative midfielder.

Felix has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea after reports identified him as Maurizio Sarri’s ‘dream signing’.
