Alvaro Morata could be shown the exit door in January after falling down the pecking order behind Olivier Giroud in Maurizio Sarri starting XI, the Sun reports.
The Spanish star joined Chelsea from Real Madrid last summer for £57m but, after an initial hot streak, saw his goal return dwindle.
Morata has found hitting the net tough in the Premier League after scoring just 11 last season.
The 25-year-old has scored once this season, in the win over Arsenal, and drew a blank in recent Europa League and EFL Cup matches when starting.
After starting the first four matches under the Italian, France international Giroud has leapfrogged the striker.
Chelsea may consider cashing in should Juventus firm up their interest with a bid in January.
Juventus have reportedly been keen on re-signing the forward and if their interest heats up, a transfer could be on the cards as early as January.
Sarri could replace Morata with Gonzalo Higuain who was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge over the summer.
