Premier League side Arsenal could land Barcelona star Malcom in January with the player ready to push for a move away from the Spanish giants.
According to a UK Sun report citing Corriere Dello Sport sources, the winger, who appears to have fallen out of contention in Ernesto Valverde’s plan at the Camp Nou will cost the north London dwellers more than Barcelona splashed out to secure his signature last summer.
At the last count, Maicom has only featured for 25 minutes in all competitions for the La Liga champions in the new campaign, as it seems not easy for the Brazilian to claim a place in Barca’s first-team.
Malcom’s blackout at the Catalan club, has seen Europe clubs like Arsenal and Inter Milan, keep vigil on development at Barcelona.
It is understood Arsenal will have to pay within the rejoin of £50million to secure his services.
Interestingly, the 21-year-old forward was involved in a transfer row with three clubs-Bordeaux, Roma and Barcelona gunning for his services.
At the end, he sealed a switch to Spanish giants in a £36.5m deal after reportedly, agreeing to join Roma.
But after failing to prove his qualities, the Gunners are now keen to sign the winger in the January window. However, they will face stiff competition from Inter Milan – who are also monitoring Malcom’s situation at Camp Nou.
The 21-year-old has made just two appearances to far this season but is expected to play tonight against Cultural Leonesa in the Copa del Rey.
