There is no doubt Chelsea’s new boss will be looking to strengthen his frontline ahead of next season.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Juventus hitman Higuain with the Blues primed to appoint Maurizio Sarri.

Sarri is leading the race to be the club’s next manager with Antonio Conte expected to be sacked.

Italian outlet Calcio Mercato state are reporting Chelsea are leading the chase for Juventus’ Gonzalo Higuain, who’ll cost in the rejoin of €70m, as the Serie A champions identify Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi as the ideal replacement in the market.

Juventus vice-president Pavel Nedved talked to Sky Sport about the future of Gonzalo Higuain.

He revealed Higuain is tipped to leave the Allianz Stadium in the summer with Chelsea reportedly shown interest in signing Higuain.

“Higuain? We are not worried about his situation. He is under contract with us, we will decide everything after the World Cup.”

Alvaro Morata have also been tipped to leave the Stamford Bride this summer with report claiming he has held talks with Juventus over a move this summer.
