Arsenal and Liverpool target Thomas Lemar will “definitely” move to the Premier League this summer.
That is the opinion of ESPN FC pundit and former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol.
Lemar has been heavily linked with a move to both Liverpool and Arsenal in previous transfer windows.
Arsenal had a £90million bid accepted for the Frenchman last summer but he turned them down on deadline day.
Barcelona are also keen on Lemar and reports claim the 22-year-old prefers a switch to the Nou Camp.
But Nicol cannot see that deal happening and reckons the winger will be moving to England at the end of the season following his exploits at the World Cup in Russia.
“I think there’s no doubts he ends up in the Premier League,” the Liverpool legend said.
“This is a guy who I think will start for France in the World Cup.
“To do that, with the squad that they have, you’ve got to have something special.
“This guy will definitely go to the Premier League. I think this is a hit.”
Lemar has scored 16 goals in 76 Ligue 1 appearances for Monaco since joining from Caen in 2015.
He has eight caps for France since his debut in 2016, notching two goals.
