Dani Ceballos is currently on loan at Arsenal from Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Dani Ceballos insists leaving Real Madrid for Arsenal in the summer was the right move for his career and where he wants to be.
The Spain international joined the Gunners from Real in July on a season-long.
Ceballos is loving life at the Emirates and believes his decision to leave the Bernabeu in search of regular first-team football has been vindicated.
“I don’t feel sorry for not being there [Madrid],” the midfielder told a news conference. “I know what I have in my head and that was to play and enjoy playing.
“I am very happy in Arsenal, I played 10 games where I showed my best level. Now I am where I want to be.”
After two frustrating seasons warming the bench in the Spanish capital, Ceballos is happy to be playing regularly.
He added: “My idea was clear from the outset, play and enjoy football because in the previous two years I had not and I have been successful going out to Arsenal.”
Ceballos’ run in the Arsenal team has resulted in him being called up to the Spain squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers against Norway and Sweden.
“I am very happy with the trust that has been placed in me,” Ceballos said of his international call-up. “Our goal is to reach the European Championship in the best possible conditions.
“We have a team with a lot of room for improvement. We work side-by-side to show the level we want in the European Championship.”
