Arsenal have reportedly stepped up plans in signing Sporting Lisbon star Gelson Martins very soon, according to the Metro.
According to reports in Italy from Radiosei, as cited on La Lazio Siamo Noi, the Gunners are aware of interest from Liverpool, Monaco, Benfica, AC Milan and Lazio who have stepped up the process in signing Martins soon.
Martins, a 23-year-old Portuguese international, came up through the youth ranks at Sporting CP, before breaking into the club’s first-team setup in 2015.
He is in demand this summer following the news he will be free to leaving Sporting for nothing.
Had he not forced his way out of Sporting, the north London outfit would’ve been forced to pay around £40m.
