Manchester united are reportedly closing in on signing 16-year-old wonderkid Noam Emeran, according to reports from France.

The youngster is set to join the Red Devils this January after agreeing terms on an initial £1.8million transfer rising to £8.9million in the future.

The gifted forward currently represents Ligue 1 outfit Amiens SC, where he caught the eye of Manchester United’s extensive scouring network.

The Red Devils weren’t the only European giant in hot pursuit of the teenager with Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Valencia weighing up bids for the prospect.

But according to RMC Sport, Manchester United have won the race for Emeran, who will leave France next month for a new challenge in the Premier League.

Signing young stars such as Emeran could become considerably more difficult in the near future, and it’s possible we could see a scramble among clubs to conduct business in January.

He is expected to link up with the squad in the winter transfer window, but will not be in the first team plans of the Special One.
