Arsenal officially announced a permanent deal for academy striker Stephy Mavididi to Juventus on Friday.
The 20-year-old Mavididi never made a first-team appearance for the Gunners and is looking to re-launch his career in Italy, where he is expected to play for Juventus’ under 23-team in their “B team”.
Mavididi passed medical and agreed terms on a move to the Serie A champions on Thursday.
He has previously spent time on loan at Charlton and Preston and has represented England at U17, U18, U19 and U20 level.
Mavididi joined Arsenal as a youth player and turned professional with the north London club in July 2015.
‘Stephy Mavididi has signed for Juventus on a permanent transfer. The 20-year-old forward will initially join the Italian side’s B team,’ a short statement on Arsenal’s website read.
Mavididi was highly rated at Arsenal but remained behind 19-year-old Eddie Nketiah in the pecking order in terms of breaking into the first team.
