Chelsea winger Kenedy has become Newcastle United’s third summer signing after completing a season-long loan deal.

After a successful 13-game stint at St James’ Park at the end of last term, the 22-year-old Brazilian has returned for another year.

The Blues have confirmed that Brazilian will head to St James’ Park once more after being a hit there in the second half of last term.

Newcastle have confirmed that the player has already hooked up with the squad in their pre-season training camp in Ireland and will have his first session back with the team on Thursday morning.

Benitez said: “I’m really pleased to have Kenedy back with us. I’m sure every fan will be happy with this signing.

“Hopefully he can keep playing at the same level that he reached with us last season. I wish him all the best for his time here.”

The Brazilian was a popular figure at St James’ Park, with many fans urging the club to re-sign the player this summer.

Kenedy fell out of favour at Chelsea last season and was expected to be moved on this summer.
