Gunners are reportedly planning to make a new offer for Celtic defender Kieran Tierney after two of their bids were turned down by the Scottish club.
Kieran made 40 appearances for the Hoops last campaign, scoring a goal and providing six assists. His performances have attracted interest from the London club, and Arsenal have made two failed bids to sign him.
The first bid made by the Gunners for Tierney was £15m back in June. After Celtic rejected it, the Premier League club made an improved offer of £25m which was knocked back by the Scottish club since there were too many add-ons.
Now, the London club will make a new bid for Scotland international in the coming days and are confident of landing him before the transfer window deadline. Arsenal have already made four signings this transfer window in Gabriel Martinelli, Dani Ceballos, William Saliba and Nicolas Pepe. However, they still need some defensive reinforcements.
Gunners are also interested in signing Daniele Rugani on loan, but Juventus rejected their two-year loan offer. The addition of Scottish defender will undoubtedly be an improvement over the current left-backs the London club have. Nacho Monreal already 33-year-old, and his replacement is necessary.
It would also cap off what’s been a pretty productive transfer window for Arsenal to help Emery ensure that they can compete for this campaign. Tierney is a regular member of the national team squad which is already a big success for the footballer. He also helped Celtic to win the Scottish Premiership one more time.
