Genoa have slapped a €50million price tag on in-demand striker Krzysztof Piatek, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea in January.
Maurizio Sarri has been linked with a move for a striker this January as several source claims he wants to provide competition for Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud upront.
The Polish frontman has banged in 10 goals this season to sit top of the goalscoring charts in Serie A ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo.
They are understood to be keen to cash-in on their star man, with Barcelona, Napoli and Chelsea amongst the most interested parties.
Sarri is thought to be keen to bring Piatek to Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea have baulked at Genoa’s €50million asking price, according to Tuttosport.
The 23-year-old is under contract at Genoa until 2022, but the Italians may want to cash in on Piatek while they can.
Piatek’s form has dropped off in recent weeks and the centre-forward is currently on a five-game goal drought.
Chelsea are expected to sign at least one striker in January, as Sarri still has his doubts in his strikers.
Sarri wants to continue pushing Manchester City and Liverpool in the league, with four points separating Chelsea and the top of the table.
