Chelsea continues their perfect start under new manager Maurizio Sarri as the Blues have won their last five games to top the League table on 15 points with Liverpool.
The Blues cruised pass Cardiff on Saturday with Eden Hazard scoring twice as Sarri’s men won 4-1 as both goals courtesy of superb link-up play from Olivier Giroud, who was making his first start of the season at the expense of Alvaro Morata.
Hazard believes Giroud is the best target man in world football after the pair combined to dazzling effect in Chelsea’s on Saturday.
Morata has struggled to form the sort of telepathic understanding Hazard appears to share with Giroud, and the 27-year-old believes the former Arsenal man is a better striker to Romelu Lukaku.
‘He’s a target man, maybe the best in the world I think,’ said Hazard.
‘When he gets the ball he can hold the ball and we can go with him in deep. So for us he is a pleasure to play with.
‘When Alvaro is playing it is completely different he is a different type of player both are quality so we are happy to have good strikers.’
‘We know especially after the break it’s hard to play a good game because we are all a bit tired but we got an important three points today.
‘After only five games we are doing good, we are confident, so we will see [about a title challenge].’
