Bayern Munich are planning a raid on Arsenal, according to reports.

The German giants are said to be in the market for a new forward and they have reportedly set sights on two of Arsenal’s forwards.

According to German publication Bild via Teamtalk, new Bayern boss Jupp Hencykes wants a cover and competition for Robert Lewandowski when the January transfer window opens.

The report claims Alexandre Lacazette and Danny Welbeck are the two players on Hencykes radar, as he eyes up a raid on Arsenal.

Bayern are now expected to make enquires about the possibility of the forwards being available in the new year.

The newspaper claim Wenger could allow either Lacazette or Welbeck leave when the transfer window opens if the right offer comes in, but we know that’s a fallacy.

Arsenal only signed Lacazette from Lyon for a club record £52m fee in the summer and are not even going to consider selling the striker for any reason six months after. As for Welbeck, Wenger is a big fan of the England international and the boss is unlikely to let him leave. Welbeck’s versatility makes him a very important player for us, so it is almost impossible for the club to let him leave.

I don’t know what the report means by ‘the right’ offer but I don’t think there would be any particular offer big enough to convince Wenger to sell any of the two players.
