Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg has debunked rumors that he is set to return to Arsenal as a coach this summer, according to the Daily Cannon.

Arsenal transfer expert David Ornstein who is known for his accurate reports on Arsenal signing had earlier stated that Ljunberg would be returning to the club as a youth coach in the summer:

“Also among those contacted by Arsenal during the process is another of their former captains – Patrick Vieira. Unclear if it’s gone any further than that but don’t sense the current New York City FC head coach will be the first-choice candidate for #AFC he tweeted.

“And as mentioned by others, former Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg is returning to the club this summer as a youth team coach on a permanent basis – that deal is done #AFC

However, Ljunberg flatly denied the report “It’s clear that it’s fun when people talk and think you’re good at something, but there is no such discussion.” He said.

He surpised reporters by revealing he hadn’t even heard the report.“No, you told me.” He replied when he was asked if he had heard of the report.

He also denied the availablity of any deal from Arsenal when questioned further by the reporter, which brings David Ornstein’s authencity to question.
