Arsenal are reportedly still chasing Juventus star Sami Khedira in spite of the English transfer window closing.
The Gunners finished the summer transfer window in style – bringing in some much-needed reinforcements for the defence.
David Luiz joined from Chelsea for £8 million, while Celtic’s Kieran Tierney finally finalised a £25m move.
The duo were added to Nicolas Pepe, Dani Ceballos, William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli as new additions at the Emirates Stadium but it seems Arsenal haven’t finished improving their roster just yet.
According to an Italian outlet Calciomercato, Juventus’ holding midfielder Khedira is unsettled at the club.
Juventus have brought in two new central-midfielders during this summer in Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot, and the German star feels his game time will be dramatically reduced this campaign.
The Old Lady are said to be keen to offload Sami before the Serie A campaign starts in two weeks time.
But the player has reportedly rejected a multitude of options as he wants a move to the Gunners.
The Italian heavyweights are becoming increasingly frustrated with Khedira’s stubborn approach.
Khedira has rejected a transfer to Wolves, along with Turkish duo Besiktas and Fenerbahce, as well as a number of MLS clubs.
Of course, Arsenal can not land the 32-year-old for a fee as the English summer transfer window has closed.
However, were Bianconeri to terminate his contract and make Sami available on a free transfer, Germany international could get his wish.
