Dani Ceballos says he plans to return to Real Madrid and fight for his place in Zinedine Zidane’s starting XI.
Ceballos joined the Gunners last summer on a season-long loan with the aim of sealing a place in the Spain squad for Euro 2020.
However, after a bright start to life at the Emirates, Ceballos’ form dropped off and he picked up a hamstring injury that would keep him out for several weeks.
“I am happy and I have a contract with Real Madrid,” Ceballos told Spanish publication Deportes Cuatro. “I am 23 years old, I’m not over the hill yet. “Now I feel much more a player and I am prepared for any challenge that comes my way.”
