Arsenal are considering a move for Paris Saint Germain outcast Lucas Moura, as they look to bolster their attack before the end of the January transfer window, according to ESPN FC.

Lucas Moura has fallen down the pecking order, making just six appearances this season, with the arrival of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar last summer pushing him out of the team.

The Brazilian winger is now keen to leave PSG in search of first team football, and the Ligue 1 table toppers are willing to let him move, as they look to ship out deadwood and recoup some funds to balance their books after the monumental outlays for Neymar and Mbappe.

Lucas Moura revealed recently that PSG boss Unai Emery has made it clear he does not feature in his plans and he is open to a move;

Is there a chance that I stay this winter? I do not think so,” Lucas said. “With what the coach has said, it looks like this is the end of my Paris story.

“I have offers but I cannot talk about them. I like English football very much, it is truly one of the best leagues in the world.”

Arsenal have spaces to fill on the right after selling Oxlade Chamberlain and Theo Walcott without replacements, however they are looking to do a loan deal, with an option to buy, while PSG want a permanent deal.

The Gunners will have to ward off attention from Chelsea and Manchester United who have reignited their long term interest in the winger after chasing him without success before he joined PSG.
