Olympique Marseille are still interested in signing Lucas Perez, according to reports.

The French club was one of the seven clubs that tried to sign Perez in the summer but the striker only wanted to return to Deportivo La Coruna.

Perez eventually got his wish to return to Deportivo but he will have to return to Arsenal next summer as the deal that took him to Spain was a loan deal without an option to buy.

According to Le 10 Sport via the Daily Cannon, Marseille could exploit the situation and are already planning to move for Perez in the summer.

The French club are determined to build a squad challenging for the French league title and have made signing a top striker their priority.

They were also keen on Giroud in the summer but ended up signing Spurs forward Clinton N’jie, who is currently their highest goal scorer with three goals.

Lucas is somehow struggling at Deportivo since he returned to the club. He’s played just five games this season and have found the net just once. He’s currently out with an injury and would be hoping things change for the better when he returns.

He scored 17 goals for the Spanish side two seasons ago before he joined Arsenal last year where he made 21 appearances and found the net on seven occasions.
