Arsenal forward Oliver Giroud has been linked with a summer move to Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus.

Following the summer arrival of Alexandre Lacazette, the 31-year-old who decided to remain at the Emirates was then linked with a host of clubs with Everton rumoured to be chief amongst them.

The Serie A duo are now also understood to be monitoring the striker’s situation at the Emirates with the plan of swooping for him next summer.

Juventus apparently want more attacking options despite Mario Mandžukić signing a new contract, which takes him up until 2020 with the Serie A club while Inter want another striker as Mauro Icardi is the only one they’ve got at the moment.

According to Calciomercato via Express, Juventus and Inter could move for Giroud next year if Everton fail in their attempts to sign him.

The French international who has been a victim of the Gunners strength in depth in attack may be very well tempted by a move away from the Emirates as he is yet to start a Premier League game thus far this season.

Though Giroud continues to divide opinion amongst Gooners about his ability to lead the line, there is however no argument over his finishing ability as the striker scored his 100th Gunners goal during the Europa League win over BATE Borisov last month.

The French forward who has recently fallen behind teammate Lacazette in the pecking order for the French squad recently said he feels his decision to remain in North London was the right one.

“I had the opportunity to leave [Arsenal],” he told French TV station Canal Plus .

“I was very close to another English club, Everton. But I think I made the best choice.”

The striker is however understood to be considering a move away next year and should he miss out on the French squad heading to Russia for the World Cup next summer, he will definitely quit the Gunners next year, the striker who has developed the habit of impacting games from the substitutes bench in recent times will surely be missed if he moves on.
