Eden Hazard is set to end speculations surrounding his future by snubbing long time admirers Real Madrid and sign a new very lucrative deal at Chelsea according to the Metro.

Hazard has been linked with a sensational move to Madrid for a long time, with the Belgian openly flirting with the Spanish side, making no secret of his admiration for the Spanish capital club boss Zinedine Zidane.

His recent refusal to extend his contract at Chelsea set the Chelsea fans on toes, then his father’s claim that his son rejected the last contract so as to invite Madrid to make an offer set the alarm bells ringing among the Blues faithful.

According to the Daily Express, Hazard has finally decided to sign a new deal at Chelsea which will make him the highest paid player in the league, despite his current contract running till 2020.

Chelsea are looking to bolster their squad this transfer window with a number of signings, and have started with the signing of Ross Barkley in a 15 million deal from Everton. Further signings will help convince Hazard of their project.

Hazard is a key player for the team, and the club will do well to avoid the kind of contract situation their North London rivals are presently facing with their star duo of Alexis Sanchez and Ozil.
