Manchester City will not make a January move for Alexis Sanchez.

The Etihad side wanted to sign Sanchez in the summer transfer window but Arsenal refused to sanction a deadline day move.
Arsenal had previously insisted they were not going to let the winger leave in the summer but later agreed to sell when City came up with a £60m deadline day bid. However, inability to secure a replacement on time caused Arsenal to pull the plug on Sanchez’s move to City, much to the annoyance of the Etihad side.
The Chilean is now expected to leave the Emirates when his contract expires at the season, which would be a big financial loss.
According to the Mirror, City have no interest in offering Arsenal a lifeline to get something from the Chilean’s exit.
The report say City are desperate to exact revenge on Arsenal by signing the striker on a free transfer.
The Etihad are still angry at the way Arsenal handled negotiations and knowing Wenger won’t want to lose the Chilean for nothing, they are keen to get one over Arsenal by promising him a huge signing on fee if he runs down his contract.

Despite still being favorites to sign the striker, City could be forced into making a January bid if Arsenal receive a tempting offer for Sanchez in the new year or if any of Guardiola’s forward suffers a long-term injury.

While City have every right to be angry at how we handled negotiations, Arsenal shouldn’t regret it in anyway. Wenger couldn’t have allowed his best player leave without fighting to keep him.

Arsenal only decided to sell Sanchez in the 11th hour when it became obvious that he isn’t going to sign a new deal.

Losing Sanchez for nothing would be bad but there’s nothing we can do except he performs a u-turn and then extend his contract.
