Arsenal want to sign Spanish winger Lucas Vazquez as they look to replace Man City bound Alexis Sanchez in January according to reports on the Daily Cannon.
The Spanish winger has been used sparingly by head coach Zinedine Zidane his season, starting only twice in the last eight league games, and could see his game time increase should Arsenal sign him if Alexis Sanchez leaves in January.
The 26-year-old possesses speed and counter attacking prowess which are qualities Arsene Wenger admire, and he tops that with a very efficient end product, having a hand in 8 goals in 10 starts in all competition this season.
It is believed that Arsenal could possibly recruit from within to replace Sanchez, but Wenger knows he will need to make up for Alexis goal contribution to the team, hence the need for proven quality.
With Alexis departure looking imminent it’s a good idea to get replacement options lined up, and at a modest valuation of £13 million the winger isn’t a bad option putting all factors into consideration.
