Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is ready to allow Arsenal target David Luiz leave the club this month if the player wants out, according to reports on the Daily Star.
The Brazilian center back has been linked with a move out of Stamford Bridge since having a fallout with Antonio Conte after voicing his concerns about the Italian’s tactics following a Champions league defeat to AS Roma.
He has been out of Conte’s starting lineup ever since, with Andreas Christensen taking his place and impressing.
With the World Cup approaching, David Luiz is in search of regular playing time and the Italian manager knows that.
Speaking to the press Conte said: “I was a player. I will understand if someone is worried for the World Cup. I will understand if someone is thinking in this way.
“I prefer to have players very happy to stay here than to have players that are unhappy because when you are unhappy you transfer this to the other players, to me and to my staff and I don’t like this.
“I like to avoid this situation.”
He is currently sidelined with a knee injury, but is close to a return after being pictured training with the squad this week and the likes of Arsenal and Barcelona are monitoring his progress.
