Manchester City are set to make a move for Eden Hazard as Pep Guardiola has ordered the club to make a £150 million move for the attacker in the summer, according to The Mirror.
The Citizens recently lost out on signing Alexis Sanchez as the Chilean winger joined their neighbors Manchester United instead, from Arsenal due to financial reasons.
However, City’s transfer strategy is expected to change in the summer and Eden Hazard is the new target with Guardiola ordering the transfer chiefs to make a shocking £150 million bid for the Blues star player.
The 27-year-old Belgian playmaker is being tracked by Real Madrid and is said to be open to a switch to Spain, so it’s unclear if he would be interested in a move to Manchester, especially as they are a divisional rival.
However, Hazard has turned down a contract extension offer from Chelsea and has kept speculations of a move away from Stamford Bridge alive.
Though he recently indicated he will sign a new deal soon, the Metro believes Man City will not be put off and will be willing to set a new British transfer record fee to sign him.
Will Hazard choose Man City over Real Madrid? Will he remain at Chelsea? Let’s know your thoughts below.
