Petr Cech was the best Arsenal player on the pitch as the Gunners cruised past Everton silencing critics who have constantly questioned why Unai Emery decision to pick him above summer signing Bernd Leno.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hailed Petr Cech following the side’s 2-0 win on Sunday.

‘I think 20 times maybe, Cech kept us in the game,’ the Gabonese striker told Sky Sports.

‘I think we are improving every day and feeling good and better, so when we win it is better for the team.

‘It is going well and we are enjoying training at the training ground.’

Alexandre Lacazette opened the scoring with a sensational strike in the 56th minute and strike partner Aubameyang doubled Arsenal’s lead just three minutes later after a rapid counter-attack.

The Gabon striker further revealed he is currently enjoying the partnership he has with Alexandre Lacazette both on and off the pitch can lead Arsenal to success this season.

‘I’ve had a good relationship with Lacazette from the first day I’ve been here; we enjoy playing together,’ he said.

‘It helps a lot, because I know what he will do so I can make another run.’
