Serie A hitman Gonzalo Higuain has dropped a huge hint that he would be open to joining Chelsea.

The Argentina goal hitman has been heavily linked with a shock move to Stamford Bridge, while reports last week claimed that Juventus have offered the striker to Chelsea in an exchange deal involving Alvaro Morata.

The prolific goalscorer still has three years remaining on his contract with Juventus after joining the Serie A champions for £75.3 million two years ago.

Chelsea on the other hand are in the market for a new striker after Morata’s disappointing debut campaign and Higuain has suggested he would welcome a switch to Stamford Bridge.

When asked about his future by ESPN, Higuain replied: ‘I have a contract with Juventus and no one has communicated anything different.

‘I’m very calm, my soul stays in Turin for now. ‘But I would love to play in the Premier League, it fascinates me a lot.’
