According to a report via Calciomercato who cites CalcioNapoli24, Chelsea are on the brink of signing Jorginho from Napoli this summer.

Jorginho has been one of the star performers in Italy last season as Napoli came close to toppling Juventus’ monopoly of domestic competitions.

The Italy international has reportedly left Italy for London ahead of his imminent move to joining the Premier League club.

The report further claims he has confirmed the deal to Chelsea is almost done:

” Chelsea move? I will miss Napoli very much so. I played there for five years and I will always be loyal to them. I had a great time in Naples as I am now getting ready for a new adventure. Will you say hi to Sarri for us? Yes I can do that for you if you like. Who will replace you at Napoli? I have no idea, let’s see. Ok take care.

Jorginho will be joined by former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri who has reportedly agreed a deal to join Chelsea.

Manchester City made a £50m offer for Jorginho but Chelsea have taken the advantage by offering £57m.

And according to Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis, the pair are moving to Stamford Bridge.

The supremo, 69, said: “Sarri is close to be new Chelsea manager.

“I’m sorry with Manchester City because we reached an agreement for Jorginho 15 days ago.

“But Chelsea is going to offer more to Napoli and to Jorginho for his contract, so he’ll join Chelsea I guess.”
