Reports making the round claims Barcelona have renewed their interest in signing Chelsea star forward Willian.
The Brazilian international was heavily linked with a move to Spain in the summer with Barca recording three bid rejected with the final offer worth more than £55m in July.
It is not the first time that Catalan side have been linked with the twinkle-toed Brazilian but with the player now 18 months away from a free transfer and seven months away from turning 31 this could be the moment they get their man.
Barcelona signed Malcom instead for £38m from Bordeaux, but the 21-year-old has seen first-team opportunities limited at the Nou Camp, with several more established names ahead of him in the pecking order.
It is understood Barcelona are proposing a swap deal for which could involve Malcom for Willian this winter.
The Premier League club told Barca’s representatives that they value Willian much higher than the proposal put forward to them, with the LaLiga leaders seemingly still valuing Malcom at the £38m they paid.
That means Chelsea were effectively offered £12m plus Malcom in exchange for Willian.
Chelsea regard Willian as a key member of their squad and are looking to strengthen during the window rather than let first-team regulars go,” they sniff.
