Paris Saint Germain defender and Belgium international Thomas Meuneir says Courtois will be a good signing for Chelsea.

Meuneir who himself was reportedly on Chelsea’s radar before we signed Zappacosta in the summer is calling Courtois to make the move to Paris.

PSG have spent big over the years and have world class players in every department of the pitch except at goal. Their two goalkeepers Alphonse Areola and Kevin Trapp are yet to convince at the top level and the free spending club may be tempted to pursue a goalkeeper next as they continue their project of building the best team in the world.

Courtois who is one of the best goalkeepers in the world would be a tempting option for the Paris club and Meuneir has revealed he will be happy to see a move happen.

“He’s very strong, Courtois. He wouldn’t be bad at PSG,” the Belgium international told Le Parisien .

“We’ve already got two good goalkeepers but Thibaut also has the profile, I think. He’s very big – nearly two metres tall.”

It is unlikely that Chelsea would allow Courtois leave anytime soon. The Belgian international is a very important component of our team and Chelsea aren’t a club who let its best players leave. So Meuneir may have to come over to Stamford Bridge if he is so desperate to play with the Belgian at club level.
