Chelsea have reportedly entered the race to sign Lille winger Nicolas Pepe but will face competition from the likes of Arsenal and Bayern Munich.
Telefoot, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are ready to provide late competition for the player.
The report claims, Chelsea would be ‘willing’ to put 50 million euros (£44million) on the table to secure the signing of the 23-year-old Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.
The African star has been in sensational form for the Ligue 1 side. Last season, in 36 league outings, he scored 13 goals and provided 5 assists.
This season, so far, in just 12 league fixtures, Pepe has directly contributed in 15 goals already (8 goals and 7 assists). For the senior national team, he has so far netted 3 times in 9 appearances.
Incredibly, only PSG striker Kylian Mbappe (15) has been involved in more goals across Europe’s top five leagues than Pepe (13) this season.
The Ivory Coast international’s electric form has seen him linked with a move to Chelsea Arsenal, while German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have also been credited with interest.
He has already ruled out leaving Lille in January as he looks to help the side secure a Champions League berth, though opened the door to a summer switch.
‘A preference between Dortmund, Bayern or Arsenal? They’re all big clubs, I was not aware of these rumours, although it’s nice,’ Pepe told Telefoot.
