Report via the Mirror claims Arsenal have offered Ufa defender Igor Diveev a trial as Unai Emery trails the talented teen.

The defender impressed as Russia’s Under-20s reached the final of the COTIF-2018 tournament.

The 18-year-old previously admitted the interest flattered him, saying: “I read about all this on the internet before the match with Dinamo. Of course, the attention of such a club is pleasant, but I do not know anything concrete yet.”

The centre-back is yet to make his senior debut for his club but has caught the eye on international duty.

He scored in the final of COTIF-2018 but Argentina ran out 2-1 winners in extra-time.

Ufa have not revealed if they plan to accept Arsenal’s apparent offer for Diveev, who would be coming in with the future in mind.

Arsenal new manager Emery was busy during the transfer window signing five new players since taking over from Arsene Wenger at the end of the summer.

The Gunners signed Stephan Lichtsteiner, Matteo Guendouzi, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Bernd Leno and Lucas Torreira this summer.
