No formal transfer offer for Chelsea target Krzysztof Piatek yet, reveals agent, according to the Metro.
Piatek joined Genoa for just under £4m in the summer from Polish Ekstraklasa club Cracovia.
The 23-year-old has been one of the hottest strikers in Europe this season having hit 14 goals in 10 competitive matches.
Piatek leads the Serie A goalscoring he becomes the first player to score in each of the first seven matches of a Serie A season since Gabriel Batistuta in 1994/95.
He also became the first player since 1949/50 to score eight goals in his debut six top-flight games in Italy.
Chelsea are credited with a serious interest, and after Napoli boss Aurelio De Laurentiis revealed his plans to sign the forward, Piatek’s agent confirmed many clubs had been in touch.
‘Many clubs have contacted us, but there has been no formal offer,’ Szymon Pacanowski told CalcioNapoli24.
‘Many clubs have contacted us over the last few weeks, but I won’t name them.
‘However, there has been no formal offer from any club, including Napoli.
‘His value has certainly risen over the three months in Serie A, but right now we are happy to remain at Genoa.’
Piatek only joined Genoa this summer and it is unlikely the Serie A side will allow their new star man to leave the club mid-way through his debut season.7
It is understood Genoa are ready to slap a £60million asking price on Piatek in a bid to scare off potential suitors.
